What is the Celebration Building Fund?
It is the same building fund that our church has been generously giving to for years in order to pay down the loan on our church facility, but now with a new name.
Remaining Debt
Bellevue members have given above and beyond their tithes, bringing the principle on our loan down from $7.8 million to $1,170,760.21 as of 8/8/2021.
Making a Big Impact
Since the Fall of 2008, our facility has been used continuously to reach people and bring true life change through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Timing is Everything
We believe that God will guide His people and we believe God’s people will respond. Let’s trust God with the timing of paying off this loan.
How You Can Participate
Ask
Ask the Lord to help us pay off the note swiftly. Ask Him to help us prepare for an even greater future of reaching people for Christ. Ask God to tell you if He would have you give to the “Celebration Building Fund.”
Give
If the Lord prompts you to give, then give as He leads. What you do is between you and God. Please remember to always give above and beyond your regular tithe when giving to the building fund. Tithing to the General Operating Budget of Bellevue is critical. If you have to choose between giving to the Budget or the Building Fund, choose the Budget. All of our core ministries need your support of the Budget.
Celebrate
Join with your Bellevue Family each time we celebrate a giving milestone. We will enjoy the progress and give God all of the Praise.
Trust God with the Timing
We are not setting any giving goals related to this Fund. We believe that God will guide His people and we believe God’s people will respond. Let’s trust God with the timing of paying off this loan.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
A History of Progress and Faithfulness
The people of Bellevue have exhibited great faith and generosity in order to reach even more people for Christ. Years ago, the Lord laid on the hearts of our members to expand our ability to reach people, by building the church campus that we minister with today.
Since 2008 our building and campus have served as effective tools to reach thousands in our city with the gospel, start new international congregations, baptize hundreds, disciple a multitude, and much more. Our church displayed amazing faithfulness in giving to this great work.
Bellevue members have given above and beyond their tithes, bringing the principle on our loan down from $7.8 million to about $2.5 million as of April 2019. This has been achieved despite a significant period of economic recession years ago. Our members believed in the project and never quit supporting the work.
Since the Fall of 2012, we have not had a formal capital campaign and our monthly payments have been covered by our General Operating Budget. Also, since that time many of our members have continued giving extra to the building fund, which has helped the church make even more progress in paying down the loan.
Our history of bold faith & faithful generosity is worth celebrating.
A Facility Used for Great Impact
Years ago, our members dreamed of building a campus that would reach people “from all walks of life.” That dream became a reality, and since the Fall of 2008, our facility has been used continuously to reach people and bring true life change through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The lives touched and changed through the ministries that take place in our facility is worth celebrating.
An Opportunity to Prepare for an even Greater Future
Though we still carry debt on the building, paying off the loan in the years to come is clearly in sight. Now is the time to ask God to help us pay the loan off early and position ourselves to expand our ministries significantly.
Currently, the monthly payments are covered by the General Operating Budget. At this rate, the building should be paid off in several years. But it could be paid off sooner, saving considerable interest, and ultimately freeing up hundreds of thousands of dollars that could be reallocated to expand the overall ministries of our congregation.
If God puts it on the hearts of our people to give more to the “Celebration Building Fund,” the loan could be paid off sooner. How much sooner? That depends on what people give.
Our Church’s Plan to Celebrate the Journey
Our plan for paying off the loan is simple. We will remind our members that they can speed the payoff of the debt by giving to the “Celebration Building Fund.”
We are not going to conduct a formal capital campaign or ask our members to fill out pledge cards. We are simply going to celebrate the victories each time our church reaches a milestone in giving.
Each time our church pays down another $50,000 we will celebrate. At the end of the Worship Service, a member of the Finance Committee will announce that another milestone has been reached. We will praise God with our applause and enjoy the progress made.
It is that simple.
